thats insane. what are you gonna do? win a lottery or something? you can always drop that price by working along the way. like get a working holiday for somewhere like australia for a year, the continue from there.

Nice one ! I hope you'll keep us updated during your journey !

A couple of flights will be expensive (like Russia-Japan and in Oceania). Will you take medical insurance ? It's budget-eater but if something do happen, you'll be saved by it. I was glad I had one, that has costed around $450 for one year, but covered a new return ticket, whose value was of... $4000 ! For 2 to 5 years though, I doubt insurances are available...

-In Western Europe, Japan, Singapour, Australia, and NZ, with lodging, you should count up to $75 a day. In your case, you could probably cut a good $30 and even more if you do grocery shopping.
-In Eastern/Central Europe, the usual is $40, for you, half of it.
-In Asia (beside Japan and Singapour), you could go as low as $10 per day (But I think in Kyrgystan, it could be surprinsingly higher).

I'm a Teck for "Sports Authority" (Sporting Goods Store)

I build bikes, snowboards & skis, gym equipment and so on.

I get a sweet discount off all my stuff too.

thats a hell of a long time to be on the road...

Cost wise I think you'll eat through cash. On a journee that long and in that varied places you'll need everything... Winter/summer clothes ect and you'll prolly have to replace everything a few times on the way as well.

2 years on the road at an average of $40 a day (Aisa cheaper Europe, More) is $30,000 and on to that the stuff you need like insurance, replacement gear, visa's Flights and you could eaisily top $35,000-$40,000.

Spend a year in Aus on your way working and you could eaisily earn (earn/save) $10,000 (as in have $10,000 more when you leave than when you arrived) Working in Eroupe and asia I wouldnt advise (you'll spend more than you earn) Aus/NZ have good rates of pay and its cheap living.

Sounds bloody sick! If you decide to work in Oz for a year, have a backup plan just in case job hunting doesn't go as planned- sometimes finding a job out here is easier said than done. Also, you'll want to check out the australian tax office- www.ato.gov.au. Theres a quick questionaire you can fill out that will tell you if you're an aussie resident for tax purposes (probably not). If you are, sick, cause the rate of pay over here is awesome (I haven't worked for less than $16/hr and am currently at $24/hr for unskilled labour) and the tax burdon isn't too bad. If you're not a resident for tax purposes, though, then you're tax rate will be nearly half... can put a damper on what you plan to save/do. From what I hear you can generally find cash-in-hand jobs as fruit pickers and generally theres always someplace out here where fruit will be getting harvested, but I don't know from experience but it may be worth checking into. I've been living/studying in Australia for the last 3.5 years, and while I'm saving my big round-Oz trip for late this year I've done some travel and got a bit of knowledge on stuff down under, so feel free to contact me ifyou got any questions. Good luck with everything, I'm sure you'll pull it off fine.
