I'm pretty good at saving money... I remember back in the day when I would always have more Chuck E. Cheese tickets than my sisters so I could save up to buy the lava lamp :D

Anyhow, we're kind of in the middle of moving everything (renovating our house...) so I can't find a shoe box... But, I think I'll get one (once I find one) and name it my 2008 Europe Fund...

If I start now, and i put in 3 dollars a week from now to May of 2008 how much money will I have...?

Anyone wanna do the math?

So, I just got off a grueling job of babysitting ( ) so I made $183 this week... Fifty is going to my christmas gift to myself (cell), so there's gonna be approx. $133 that I don't know what to do with...

Guess that's my first deposit (since I can't trust my mother to do my finances for me )

Awesome idea tony!

show box...?

Also if you wanted to find out how many ounces 5 gallons is you can do 5 gallons is ounces and it tells you as well. Also it works for currency, file sizes , watts, pounds to ounces, whatever.

So I'm searching through my bathroom drawers, cabinets, and travel toiletry bags for some dental floss.

I unzip one of the pockets of a toiletry bag that I use for traveling and low and behold, I found $40 in there! Booyahkasha!

Great way to start the year . Adding that to the pot, yo !

Hey Jake - what are you trying to do...do you want to get into real estate? If the answer is yes, you probably want to learn more about the business of real estate itself, versus the back office stuff (notes and offers). Are you interested in rental property? Are you looking for a new career? I am not an expert but have partaken in a few real estate transactions and would be happy to share what I know...such as it is. Just curious where you are going. I haven't kept up with this thread, so if the answer is a few pages back, I apologize. Just watch out for those late night infomercials. Those guys are in the business of selling seminars...not real estate.

I added more to my jar again. I think shortly I will be emptying it and rolling the coins and changing the small bills for some bigger ones. I figure that way I will have less to roll later and also give me more room (even though is aint close to full) for those other bills later on.

No idea how much is in there but probably over $50 or so. Doesn't really matter at this point, just want to make it more manageable.

So, what happens when we take money from our boxes?

Actually, I pulled out money for sec dep which I was saving for in there anyhow. Still some cash money stockpiled though - though several hundred less.
