I haven't been responding but in the last week I have added about $60 to my secret stash. Here's to saving!
I 2nd the financial forum... nothing like waxing philosohically about making money and such. Although my discussion would primarily surround REIT's, Poker, and Precious Metals.

Ehhh.. I went a little beyond the shoebox and put $100 into an interest-bearing savings account (aka the travel fund) this morning
On top of that, I put 76 cents into my coin box (aka the beer fund) that only gets cashed in before I go on a trip. Unfortunately, since I've only been back a week, there's only like $3 in it.

Well, I can say I overcame one goal this year when I finally made it to Las Vegas after several attempts over the last 4 years to go there. So, while I procrastinate I usually reach my goals. It has taken 7 years to finally get a business off the ground and running, so who knows what the future may hold.

You said it, Tony!
Here's my sad little predicament, though: I'm good at socking away my extra cash into a box or a savings account, but then I wind up using my credit cards to make purchases. *sigh*

Alright! I have CLEAN money in mine! That's right - unlike all of your dirty money, mines CLEAN!!! That means washed, fabric softened and laundry sheeted! I love doing laundry. I found $7 and it all went in my box (which I finally did today - now it's actually taped. ). Anyhow, that 20 I was going to put in last time? Yeah, didn't stay. Thank god for the duct tape.

I have yet to find duct tape in my house! I suppose scotch tape would not be sufficient eh? I haven't taken any money out of it though, once its in there, it stays in there!
I will find some and tape up my little tin. It's very cute though and getting kinda heavy. It's all those wonderful Canadian twonies and loonies!! They add up.
Ok. I shall get some duct tape though and tape that bitch up.

Got some more loot in my pocket that will go in tonight. I am trying to stay consistent here but don't really use cash much. I usually use my credit card for most day to day stuff.

...hahaha...j/k. Hey, I'm all for that! If you have to borrow from your fund to actually improve your ability to save or reach your objective, then that's money well spent.
I'm in the business of helping people pull money from the equity of their homes so that they can put it right back into their homes, thus improving it's value.
Same diff here
Proud of you guys! Rollin, rollin, rollin !
