i dunno if anyone has seen these, but Aerlingus (Irish) has some amazing fares to Europe right now. from Chicago to Dublin r/t it was only $360! only $40 more from LA. also cheap ones ways (i booked myself a one way from Chi-town to Dublin for $185, then a one way from Dublin to madrid for 60 euros)

anyone here flown Aer Lingus have any reviews? if only they served Guiness on board.

Wow, thanks! At first, looking at it, I didn't think I could make it work because it had travel dates of Oct 1-Oct 15, but I might be able to use it after all.

This time of the year there are generally very good fares to Europe from the states. Keep an eye out, Aer Lingus will not be the only one offering specials.

BTW - I have heard that Aer Lingus flights are quite rowdy...at least the ones from Boston.

My boss takes 'em to Ireland all the time and loves 'em for the most part.

I just hope they never merge with Japan's ANA, whom I like, as well. It'd just be too difficult to board a flight on "Analingus."

the thing is, you can book for next summer for about the same price. and ive looked all around, no other airline comes as close for flights to europe (and then, from Dublin, you can take Ryan Air to anywhere from the same airport).

Well, unfortunately, you can't fly anywhere from Dublin. I tried to route it so that I could fly to Tampere (I'm going to Helsinki), but I'd have to get from Dublin to London's Stansted airport and that would just add to much. It's going to be about the same for me to fly British Airways directly to Helsinki on my outbound trip and fly home from London on the return.

I AM, however, going to check them out for next spring/summer before the fall is over.

I LOOOOOOOOOVED Aer Lingus!!!!!!!! I got a OW ticket for JUNE for 250 bucks. Not quite as cheap as yours, but still - cheap enough and not booked as far in advance. Plus their CS/staff are just awesome. They always asked Jake and I if we wanted window seats, and it twice 2x6x2 and once it was a 3x3 but no one got seated next to us, so we never were crammed in with anyone. They announced once that they were serving an option for veg. meals (i'm a vegetarian) but by the time they got to me (oh, I didn't special request) they were out, but the woman offered me extra salads, bread, fruit and kept coming back to make sure I was okay. They opened the NA drinks up at the end to self service pretty much. The movies rock. NO COMPLAINTS!!
