Hey there
There are some good ways to make some quick money if you live in canada that is I dont know if its the same in the US
1. Everyones favorite treeplanting :( Self explanitory go plant some trees and get 30 cents a tree, makin 3000 a month is not unherd of at all but this will really make you wanna go on your trips and not lug a pack around your aching back
2. Mills - My hometown is in northern BC lumber is our main export so mills are everywhere Im trying to get on at one for the next 7 months until I leave, noraml rate is 25 an hour however the work is brain draining.
3. GO TO ALBERTA! get on the pipeline or go to Fort McMurry and work there its crazy expensive to live but most people share a apartment 4 to a flat however the cash you make is unreal 25-40 an hour plus good chance of over time

I just saw alot of people workin for 6.25, Get into a industry the job is boring as hell but its worth it, If I get on the mill then I will make about this much (join me for some simple math)
25/h x 40h/week = 1000 a week
1000/week x 2 = 2000 a check
almost done
2000 x 14 (number of checks I get durin my 7 moths till departure time) = a whoppin 28000
So if you can find an industry to get in the work will be boring and long but its well worth it. and if you cant get an industry job then try something like a courior they pay more than minimum. And hey if you cant do that then get 2 jobs and muscle it thanks all

Good tips! but honestly, if thats in Canadian dollars than it sounds like to much f-ing work to me, maybe I just enjoy doing less for more, but if ya can handle that kind of work I guess it would be some good quick ciznash.

Those are some great tips NP, your right there is some serious coin to be made out that way...It might seem like alot of work TUI because of the exchange, but for someone who is coming from a country like Australia where the dollar is as much as %50 less than the green back and %30 to the Canadian $$, that kinda dough can go a long way...Not to mention Canadians who are looking for a way to make some duckets to start trav'lin

 :afro:

Very true on the exchange rate! ;)

TP...the Aussie dollar is on a roll at the moment mate....we're up to 70 US cents for every AUS dollar and analysts are predicting 80 US cents to the AUS dollar by the end of next year... go the Aussie currency....hehe...so sad i get enthusiastic about currency exchanges...oh well probably because i'll be needing to exchange $$ in a few months...if only the Aus $ had a better exchange rate against the Euro :)

hey newbie welcome. Where in northern bc do you live? good tips.

Yeah the canadian dollar is really good now too. CD or anyone else know the current rate? So for americans..the difference between the canadian dollar and american dollar isn't that much anymore. Times are changing. instead of you coming up here, we're gonna invade you instead! :D

TUI 10-25-2003 01:53 PM

Dio please invade Reno NV while your at it

Hey
Dio I live in prince george. Found a little snag in the line. Most mills are privatized so they will only hire family members HOWEVER during the summer months the hire students to do their work to cover for school, so from may to end of august one would have a tgood chance of getting hired just go there and BS that your in the local collage or uni. Also if that dosnt work try to get on a mill shut down where one can make 2-3000 in a week, no joke :D and they overhire so you just gotta find a good hiding spot and stay hidden and still get paid  If you go to Alberta you work the oil rigs and also mines are very popular in west can as well very worth while lookin into if you can.
Well off too look at more posts later all
noobs
