Hello All,

I would be very happy if you could help me, ( anyone especially who has travelled in USA) i am travelling there in september through hopefully to November....I already paid for plane tickets, insurance, and discovery pass greyhound. How long do you think ill be able to travell for on 4500 pounds...thats about 9000 dollars.? Please advice me

You can get by on $9000 for a lot longer than 2 months!!! Don't worry, you have plenty of cash for that amount of time. Good for you! (and let me know if you get to Seattle!)

$9k is definitely more than enough. You'll be able to do more or less whatever you want, shop, eat well, send stuff home. Sounds like you're all set

Man thats 4500 a month........your gonna be able to run it hard cuase thats more then most americans make a month........your buying some rounds

Depends what town you're in, how urban it is, etc. So a beer at a bar can range anywhere from $1 to $7, usually around $3; while a bed at a hostel can range from $12-28 (from the prices I've seen, at least...)

Well damn, $9000 is what I pay in rent for a year in NYC!!!!! You will have an amazing time. Save some of your money for another trip if you want. You can live it large with out breaking the bank. In NYC there is so many things to do that don't cost alot(and plenty of things that do). Accommidations and travel expenses will be the biggest thing. But have fun and make the most of it.
