hey ya'll,

my boyfriend and i are planning a trip to thailand next fall (probably october), and we're just wondering how much money you all would recomend bringing/budgeting for each day.

we're student, but we don't exactly need to sleep on beaches to save money either. also, not to be annoying, we don't eat the meat . . . are we going to starve? do i need to bring an emergency supply of protein bars?

anyway, i found plane tickets round trip into bangkok from san francisco for $641 each, that i'm thinking of buying.

i was thinking of budgeting $30 (dollars) a day, and as far as transportaion from bankok to the islands goes, i have absolutely no idea.
