Ok i am getting really really fed up with trying to find a cheap airfare and i'm gonna have to buy mine soon. I want to leave in september but the only catch is that i have to book through a travel cuts office. trying to find a cheap flight from winnipeg to anywhere is just a pain in the ass and even when i look out of toronto its really not that much cheaper. Does anyone know where i can find a fairly cheap flight (im looking for between 600 and 700) that i can show to my stupid travel agent?? Sorry to rant but im tearing out my hair over this

That sucks I normally go to Optim Travel right 5th and 33rd or 34th, well yeah I have a friend there that's where I get the good stuff! I don't like buying tickets online. :greenguy: Sorry to read about your case I bet it happens to many of you folks.

That sux....I bought my RT ticket to London from Edmonton for almost $1300(incl taxes thank god), But this was back in May. Its entirely with Air Canada and this is with a Student/youth discount through travel cuts!. But alas the longer your stay outside, the more they will charge you. this is the way airlines work, damn commie air canada!

I dont know how long you will be away for but always check with air canada and travel cuts online for their seat sales, if you are looking to go for a few weeks than this will be your best bet for cheaper prices. But of course you have to leave on a certain date and return on a certian day. Since i get updates with aircanada and travel cuts i will post them as soon a I recieve them if there happens to be good prices being offered.

good luck!

Yeah its some bullshit. They charge so much for tickets yet Delta goes bankrupt? The cost of renting planes is extraordinarily high which is one "reason". I dont know. Three cheers for unbridled capitalism?

I don't know... now that i am working for an airline and seeing the astronomical amount of work that goes into getting a flight off the ground I am beginning to understand the reason for higher airfare... that being said

IT"S ALL ABOUT THE NON-REV BABY!!!!

Seriously get a job with an airline... you won't regret it!

lol what airline do you work for??? Hey swirl when are you heading to london, maybe we can meet up for a drink if we're there around the same time. i found a round trip from toronto on travel cuts for 672 (including taxes) and it would cost me about 250 to fly to toronto. Still higher than what i'd like to pay im thinking im gonna hold of buying until the middle of august as the prices seem to be getting cheaper, but geez i just wanna buy the stupid thing and be done with it ya know.

((( Get Em Up by Paul Oakenfold feat. Ice Cube ))) :greenguy:

We should all chip in and buy a huge kite so we should never waste money in Fin' airfares and it would be so ambient friendly! O.k, I have to stop watching psycho movies and eating Wonka candies. But you know it would be sweet if possible.

Zoom airlines and Air Transat are the Canadian solution to Ryanair and Easyjet. It just depends on what area of Canada your flying out of. Personally i paid 870.00 RT from Montreal to Paris. I could have paid 780.00 RT with zoom.

Air transats really good, but because i have to go through travel cuts (with SWAP) they dont allow you to take charter flights which would save me a lot of money

I can buy flights to the US (usually to newark) for €160 one way with aerlingus I assume they must have similar prices back the way as I'd guess theres more Americans going to Ireland than there is Irish going to America even with the big rise in Irish going to New York for a shopping holiday.

i've been doing research for a plane ticket from either mexico or texas, usa to belgium. i found houston-brussels for $630 USD. i know i'm talking about completely different cities, however, my point is that british airways was consistently cheaper. and the $630 is for round trip with only one connection, same airport. not bad, huh?

What about expedia. I know I have found some good deals. Edmonton to Dublin with RT with 3 months in between was like 1100. Any thoughts on this at all?
