Hey all
how do you all carry your funds around.
Visas?
Travellers Checks ?
ATM, or cold hard cash ??
whats best?? Im a bit sketchy about using a visa because you gotta pay intrest on that and that dosnt appeal too much too me (however will do if best method)
Thougt about ATM hjowever that only probably works in bigger city centers.
Travellers checks maybe, but I'll have a few grand in TC flying around then......gah tough call!!! What do you all do ??? I was thinking of bringing a Visa for emergencys. Always having about 300 bucks on me for whatever, and an ATM card in which i can withdrawl cash when needed.
thanks

Well I'm off next month for my first backpacking adventure so can't give you any tips based on experience. What I'm going to do is rely on ATMs and my credit card with maybe 200 Euro in cash for small items/emergencies.

Might work well, might not - will let you know how it goes

when I travel I usually take about $100 dollars or so in cash, and the rest I pull out money from the atm. I find it a lot easier, plus I don't get that fee for pulling money out at other atms. My bank lets me withdraw from the atm six time a month with no charge. So what I did, I went into my branch and told them to increase my withdrawal money. so now I can withdraw upto $1000. Well this works for me. Hopefully this can also work for you.
