The catch, i want to travel that hole dam thing top to bottom inside out back to front.... i dont and i wont miss a thing.

10,000 is enough to se any part of the world. most people leave with much much less. $1000 or $2000 usd is usually a good start.

she said 4-6 months though, jteich! (why am i assuming she's a she?)

10,000 ausd is about 6,000 euros - so, roughly 1,000 euro per month - or - 34 euros per day, assuming you go for 6 months. shit, girl - i don't know. i've only backpacked once, and through germany not italy - but i surely needed 50 euro per day. i didn't have family there either. but damn, i can't imagine you have family:

but if you do, hey... then maybe it's enough.

i'm hoping some veterans will jump on board to help you here.
