I will probably bring my laptop for the wifi and also so I can still watch a dvd and upload any pics when I want. Also as people have said going to a cafe everyday or so really does add up.

I don't carry a wallet because I lose everything so even when I'm home, I just carry my money (well bills anyway change I usually keep in my pocket) in my bra and tuck my cell phone under the strap... *laughs* luckily I'm small chested so It's not likely to get lost in there... :D

Laptop in Asia?
What does anyone think about taking a laptop to Asia. I would assume that there would be less places to access an internet cafe.

I need the internet when I travel. So I will be picking up an Asus EEE when I go.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASUS_Eee_PC
It weighs 2 lbs, is 7" big, runs Linux, has wireless, Flash HD 4-8GB, no optical drive. Its for kids in third world countries, so I think it would be ideal for rugged travel.
Also costs about $300 so if you lose it, its not the end of the world.
