Leaving in 3 days . I wanted to bring my i-pod and need to get a battery pack for it. Where can I get one of these before I leave?

Generally, anyplace that sells I-Pod accessories should have this. I got mine at Best Buy. It's a bit bulky, but fine for long plane rides and other uses where the bulkiness is not a problem.

The Apple Store MAY carry it and I think Radio Shack might have one as well. It is made by Belkin and has suction cups to attach to the back of the 'pod. Worst case scenario you can get it overnighted online...for a price of course. It IS worth it even though it is a little bulky. I had mine in Europe and its a lot smaller than the cord, power adapter, and power converter. Not to mention cheaper too. 4 AA batteries will last you a good 12 hours of play time (at least it did on my 40GB).

BTW, Just as a note, if you own an older iPod, Apple has a recall? or settlement for the battery life not being as advertised. The info's on the bottom of the Apple home page...

look into a product called IGO.

It automatically converts the voltage for you and all you need is the plug adapter.

some come with car auto and plane chargers.

It's a little pricey but when you only need to buy one. you can use the same thing to charge a laptop, cellphone ipod digital camera etc etc. you just need to purchase the itips.
