Default Making an Adobe File Editable

I am creating a word document that I need to make a pdf file and email to people. There is a section where I need my name to be editted into their name. Does anyone know how to do this on Adobe? I do not have Adobe Acrobat, only Reader and they say you need Acrobat to do it. Any computer whizzes out there that can help me out? I can email the file to you if necessary!

I did it once a long long time ago. From what I remember it was a pain in the arse! There is a free program that will edit adobe files else you need to buy acrobat. I have no idea what that freeware program is called but I am guessing there are probably a few out there

Ok thanks. I know, I fiddled with it for quite awhile and couldn't get it done. Anyone else have any ideas? I know there are computer smart people out there!

I've got a program you can use. PM me your e-mail address and I'll send it. It's around 8 megabytes.

Brooke - your email was a little unclear to me....but....if you can fully create your document in Word and just want to be able to convert it to a pdf file, there is a freeware product called cutepdf (search for it on google and download it) that essentially installs itself on your pc like it is a printer, but instead of prionting, it converts documents to pdf files. If you are in Word, you just print your document and select cutepdf writer as the printer. It will prompt you for where to save the newly created pdf - you can then email it or whatever you want to do, but it is non-editable.

Not sure if that solves your problem. I do not know of any freeware pdf editing tools.

So what's up anyway??
