free wifi at JFK (maybe)
OK not exactly free, but "The Lounge" in JFK terminal 4 (intl departures) gives off wifi for its customers. I used the lounge when I was here about 2 weeks ago. The password still works so maybe they don't change it! You can sit just outside and still get a great wifi signal.
If you are passing thru JFK terminal 4 its worth a shot to try it. The password is 0123456789. How original right?

Awesome make sure your comp is fully charged because I didn't see a power outlet nearby - though I'm sure I could have been able to venture a little further possibly find an outlet and still pick up the signal
oh yeah and hope you're not flying delta...they SUCK

That's the KLM Oasis lounge. And no, they haven't changed the password. I was just in it last week.
Also, if you have a long layover at JFK, you can take the AirTrain (free between the terminals) over the JetBlue's Terminal 5. You can pick up their free wifi signal even on the landside of security, and the benefit there is that the chairs have outlets nearby.

Just as a note, since I live in NYC...
If anyone is traveling through JFK, give me a shout. If I'm not traveling, I would be happy to come to JFK to guest you into the lounge so not only will you get the internet, but also food, drink, and a shower if needed.
