Hmm.. the multiple artist thing.. Check to make sure the spelling is exactly the same onall of them. One thing you can do is in your general library window, you can highlight all the Michael Jackson songs, for example, select File -> Get Info and then change the artist name to all one thing. Also, unfortunately, "Eminem" and "D12 feat. Eminem" will fall under different artists - the computer doesn't know any better. A lot of times, this happens because people don't add stuff to CDDB with consistency.
As far as adding your BearShare stuff goes.. if you keep all your music in one place, great. If not, go to File -> Add to Library... and select the folder where you keep your music. It'll go through and classify them into your iTunes library. From there, you can drag them on to your iPod.

I ended up tossing my legal settlement notice away. I have had my I-Pod for close to two years now and I probably get somewhere between 4 to 7 hours out of the battery. If I listen to it continuously on plane, for example, I usually get 6 hours plus. However, when I listen to it in 1 hour to 2 hour increments, over the span of a few days, (say by going to the gym) I seem to get less...maybe 4.5 to 5 hours. Not sure why this is...but ultimately, it is good enough for me. I have my AA battery pack for the plane and I don't mind recharging it every couple of days when I use it at the gym.

Funny, I just tossed mine this morning. I was gonna cash in on the $50 credit, but you know what? I've had no problems with my first-gen iPod, other than what you've experienced with shorter bursts, and damned if I'm going to add to the quagmire of class action lawsuits out there if I didn't actually feel like I've been handed a raw deal.
