Hello,
I will be traveling around Australia and New Zealand for about a year and a half. I have a number of electronical gadgets (camera, ipod, cellphone, razor) that will all need to be charged. Is all I need to do is get the australian adaptor plug, or is there some other necessary things I need to take care of (regarding voltage, compatibility, etc)???
thanks,
Brett

You'll need an adapter plug that will turn your plug (US, Euro, whatever) to an Australian slanted plug... Some of them are grounded 3 plugs, but I have a 2-plug pictured here:

As far as power conversion goes... Australia runs on 220~240V AC @ 50Hz. Your camera, iPod, and cell phone power adapters should have a built-in transformer that will operate on this voltage. If you're from the US or Japan, you're running on 110V AC, and other devices (such as blowdryers) will need a voltage converter.

I don't know about your razor - check the cable or the plug next to the cable to see if it can handle 240V - if not, then it needs a converter. But real men don't use electric razors anyway...
