generation's meaning what model are they on.

omid's 5g is from the 1st generation. The new 1g shuffle is part of the newest generation but what gen is it?

It is indeed 4th generation (aka 4G) - While there were rumors late last year about the latest batch being 5G, they're not - they were just upped in storage space, with no changes to the actual design.

yeah haha, I had no clue what that whole topic was about... I've never felt so lost when it comes to technology, mainly becuase I veto'd the IPOD and refused to buy one... perhaps I should keep up with the generations though anyways
