I use Microsoft Streets & Maps for US travel, which is handy on a road trips b/c I just take my laptop and use it like an interactive road atlas without having to be online, and I can find pubs and lots of other shit.
I'm looking for a program like that works for all countries. Does it exist? Any other good travel software ya'll know about?

My GPS has mapsource... pricey, but it's got roads all over the world... problem is, only the major roads are named.
Streets and trips, i thought, had update packs all over the world.... (course, I've only tried to use it in North America)

^ When I took my roadtrip out west earlier last year, my friend had a GPS. Man, that thing was priceless! I would definitely recommend one for any long roadtrips in the US, if you can easily afford one.

Yeah, GPS would be nice. Did a little research and there is now Streets & Trips with GPS (can actually buy the software with a USB GPS), which looks awesome. But again, the software is just for the US and Canada. Worth having, but I want maping software for the WORLD!!! Part of my world domination scheme ...er..I mean world traveling
