Hi all,

I leave for Europe in less than 3 weeks, can't wait! However, I will be bringing my digital camera which will need to be recharged. I also may be getting a pre-paid cell phone. Am I going to able to keep this stuff charged while staying in hostels? Any tips?

Also, I know I need an adapter for the charger to work with the European power system, but are they all the same all over Europe?

I'm going to England, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Czech Republic, and Belgium.. will I need several adapters?

Thanks!

Joe

Wow, I bet you have a great time, sounds like you got a wicked time ahead of you!
You will need a seperate plug for England than the rest of Europe. You can get them from most hardware stores all over the world. Or, you can wait til your at the airport, they'll have them there for sure!

Red face

You can buy a set of global adaptor plugs for like under $10 at your local electronics store. You'll prolly only need 1 or 2 of them for the EU. And I don't think you'll need a converter - although you'll have to check the voltage range on your cam.
