Okay, so, I'm trying to text a friend who lives in the UK. I'm don't know what service he uses, but I'm assuming it's a pay as you go type thing, since he's always talking about his lack of credits. However, I use Verizon in the US.
He sent me a text message and I'm assuming it was through his sister's phone since he is internetless. And I'm guessing that I also got charged $0.20 for it. If I reply through my phone, I'm pretty sure it'll either: A] Not work, or B] Lead to me being charged $0.25 or something along those lines.
Normally I would just send the message, but my account just got linked to my parents and I don't want to get in the habit of racking up the charges. Some friend mentioned I could use CBFSMS.com, but I've never done any sort of online texting before since I have unlimited domestic texts. How do these work? Is it at all possible to send a text through my actual phone and not get charge for an international text?
Thank you all in advance
