Macs are pricier but way more reliable, and they use Intel processors now. And as you are used to windows like the rest of us, its good to note that MACs can run windows in a virtual machine - which means when windows inevitably crashes your machine is safe

I'd go Mac. I hadnt used a mac since I was young and just got one for school last year. The adjustment wasnt really that bad, I mean there were obviously little things but they are quite a bit handier, not to metion easier to maintain, seeing as you dont have nearly as much risk of viruses as most viruses (if not all) are geared towards PCs

I would PC it all the way. I know nothing about technology, but what I do know is that i'm typing on the shittiest computer ever right now and it's a mac!
Nothing ever works on this machine. granted it's old (6 years) But no programs ever open with this god forsaken computer.

What's your budget?
Also illegally downloaded software can do wonders to turn a pc into a video editting monster. Not that I would condone that.

you also need to consider what type of programs/ games you might want to buy later. not that many common progs are mac compatible. (but windows for mac is just like reglar windows and very handy to have if u may need to transfer stuff to a pc.)
i bought a mini mac at th beginning of the year and i love it.
unfortunatly i have an mp3 player which isnt an ipod, so i cant use my mac to transfer songs over which really sux
i use a pc at work and dont have any trouble swappin from one to the other regularly.
good luck with watever decide.

yeah, I'm on team mac as well. I've used them at home all my life and PCs at school and now i have an iBook which is possibly the love of my life at the moment.. i really don't know much about computers but I feel like I don't have to with this computer, i mean as long as you can figure out how to use all your applications you're fine - i never have to deal with viruses or any sort of problems. when its time for an update, i just hand it over to my brother and he sorts it out for me.

I LOVE my mac. It was definitely the best money spent. I've had it for almost seven months and have had no complaints. Before my mac I had a pc (from Dell no less) and ended up throwing/pusing it off the couch because everyday it would crash on me. It finally came to the point I couldn't take it anymore. My mac is faster and more reliable. It does suck that their aren't as many programs for Macs as for PCs but that is changing. Plus all you need to do is find a uber sexy tech to help you out.... that's what I did :D

Tony - you should add some very small print to the user agreement that stipulates you get a certain fee for any and all hook-ups that stem from Travelpunk. You would have a nice cash stream me thinks.
