anyone know of a good free photo editing software?

my photoshop free trial ended a couple of weeks ago, and i have no way of resizing my photos and stuff anymore.

its really annoying i wanna upload some photos from the world cup this weekend from my sisters camera, but they are huge, about 3/4meg each, and im on a slow internet connection at the moment

I'm pretty sure (as weird as this sounds) you can do some basic stuff (resizing/cropping) in Microsoft Word if you have it.

Check out Picasa. Its from Google. Supposed to be decent but I have never used it.
