Hi-ya again! This is actually my second message on the site, because I am a little nervous about goin abroad( since it's my first time....and alone!), and I could definitely use all the help I can get :eat:

Like I said in my other message, I'll be going to Australia in May 2004, and I hear it snows around that time--in certain areas. I'd love to get a job at a ski resort, but I hear there isn't a secure amount of money in that (then again, who needs a lot of money with a free lift pass

Also, the idea of working as a barmaid is becoming more and more appealing to me. There is a program that provides people with a job in bars and a place to stay called "workstay"--sounds like it can be pretty gruelling work, but it seems worth it from all of the testimonials. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has any input on this type of work or this program.

If any of you have advice, anecdotes or tips, I would greatly appreciate them. Thanks!

Great to have ya posting again wandrlust!!!

Here is a small page on where you can find Snow Fall In Australia and another one on Australian Sking

Those may help ya a bit....

Workstay looks interesting, I myself have never done it, and do not know anyone who has, but i am sure someone will be able to give you some feed back on it. If you do not get the feed back your looking for, check around, even contact the Australian Workplace Relations Dept to see how reputable the company is, see if there have been any complaints against that company who does the placments.

Some of our resident Aussies might meigh in one this one as well!!!
