Hi. I'm a watercolor and oil painter with talent and I will be doing something I dreamed I could do a few years ago which is travel to Europe paint and sell my work. I don't care how it all will work out I think God will make wonderful things happen than how I envision it exactly I don't know how much I desire it right now,I think that's the problem I ask myself if I am living a past dream that's over. I don't know if I'm as interested in it now but nothing else interests me. I sort of began it on a two week trip in Rome,Italy that led to meeting people that promoted my art and helped me to stay for a couple months. I really like Rome but want to travel to islands in Italy, and visit beautiful locations painting. Does anyone have suggestions, encouragement or comments stories? I want to make my living as a fine artist and I haven't sold a painting in Italy yet...but I think it will happen.
One thing that I am struggling with is opportunities and desires, all that interests me is in Europe. I want to go with a good sum of money so I can stay long enough to have an art exhibit and maybe find a place to live. I'm thinking about working until I make a large sum of money to do this thing right.

From what you are saying I certainly think its worth the effort. I am not a painter, but I am passionate about working with people in need. I left home at 16 do pursue my dream of working with people in different countries and learning from their stuggles. I've been privileged to work in many different countries of the past 10+ years and it has made me who I am today.

So, in a nutshell...follow your dreams and make it happen. It is worth it.

I agree with KCL. If nothing else, give it a shot. If you don't feel like you desire it anymore, at least you tried and won't have regret about it. Everytime I travel, even if it's in the States (where I'm from) I buy local art, so of course this line would be appealing to me. I definitely say go, try, pursue your dreams!
