Hey guys,

So my boyfriend and I are looking into doing some tree planting in the New South Wales in OZ, and I was wondering if any one had anythng thing (useful/helpful) to say on the matter. We're looking ot head out in January and be back when the season ends in the end of March.

So i have two querries really

1.) Has anyone done this before that could give us some information on the subject because we're just kind of jumping into it.

2.) the contract would only be for two months, so we were hoping to find some random work before or after for about a month so we will be working for more than three months which makes up eligable to apply for the work VISA again sometime later when we have more time. We haven't really found much on the web and were wondering what the chances of just showing up and looking around for a job would be. We don't necessarily need a paying job, we will work for room and board if need be, we just want to be there for more than three months so we can apply for the VISA again.

Any help on this topic would be much appreciated!!!!

Thanks so much in advance

Sure you can ask! Tree planting is something we have always wanted to do, so we're just going for it.

The random work before hand for three weeks or so could e anything though. We just need somewhere valid so we can prove that we have worked longer than three months.

We thought of fruit picking, and despite the horrow stories I have heard, it's still something we would look into but are a bt skeptical. Any advice>?

WELCOME s0x!

Try helpexchange.net they have lots of organic farms, hostels, resorts, and other stuff on there, most of them are working in exchange for room/board.

If all else fails see if you can find a local paper online and search the job listings.
