After numerous emails to many, many, many hostels in Munich, I was able to finally land a job at a hostel during Oktoberfest. From September 10 until October 3 I will be there. Room and board are free, plus I get free beer....YIPPPIIEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Working in hostels is thankless shitty work. Especially when they're busy. Even at the front desk. May the force be with you.

I think it depends on the hostel you are staying at personally. I really loved my job at a hostel (front desk) in Los Angeles. I had so much fun....I got to meet every single person that came through the door and talk to them and hear about their travels/experiences. If it was a hot guy I would flirt a bit (shameful, I know) But even the actual office work wasn't much of a bother to me. It was one of the best jobs (worst paying) but most rewarding jobs I have ever had.
So yeah have fun. Enjoy. The experience will be over in the blink of an eye.
