I dont know if anyone has read my post on my proposed thesis but i just wanted to give you an update for those of you who are interested. I had been talking to my american friends who i met on my studies in Budapest last year and they have started a volunteering programme up in a village in hungary teaching Romani children English. This sounded like an amazing opportunity so i have decided to go over for 3 weeks in the summer and volunteer my english speaking services as well as get some first hand primary research for my thesis. Im really looking forward to the experience.

I haven't read about your thesis proposal, but I did recently meet a girl who came to northern Lithuania to volunteer for a couple of months. She's been here almost a year, and after a short vacation is coming back...indefinitely! Not saying that will necessarily happen to you... but can you complete your degree online? Have a fabulous time, it sounds like an incredible experience.

they set it up through an NGO i think? I will find out more details this week.
Unfortunately i cant do my degree online, probably a good thing cos i would spend my study time on tpunk! Im really excited about the opportunity as it gets me out into Hungary again (who knows after my degree has finished I might just move there!)

Do you think it is fair to pay for volunteering?
