Im heading over to europe hopefully for about 4-5months. Firstly backpack around UK and visit the clubs in london etc. then hopefully head do a little travelling over to Italy and possibly Amsterdam.
Im 18 and ive only just decided i want to go backpacking and i want to go as soon as possible. Ive got $4000 Australian dollars in my pocket and i know thats not gonna last me so obviously im going to need to be working while im there. How difficult is it to get live-in jobs, or casual work seeing as i may only be in one place for only a couple of weeks to a month at a time. Would u reccomend i did it differently? Also, do u know of any of these agents who help in setting up ur job accomadation and all b4 u leave? There's a good chance ill be going on my own and its all so very daunting!

Thanx alot for any help you can give me.

Sirbibble- cool name ;)

I wouldn´t do the agent thing. Too much money has been scammed from students doing the same thing. I´m sure ther are legit agents, but still, you´re better off walking in to Irish pubs and hostels to search for work under the table. Or, if you have a work visa, your stock just went up.
Check out Thegumtree.com for listings on possible jobs. This board is popular with Australians.
An up and coming site along the same lines is- http://london.craigslist.org/
Monster has a UK site- http://www.monster.co.uk/
and, under the "work" forum, there´s a link for how to get around by being a bartender. That might stir up some options for you.
When you´re in Europe, strike conversations with students at the internet cafes. They can often point you in the right direction.

For now, work double time to build up your cash reserves and go easy on you funds in Amsterdam and London- 2 expensive cities. Clubs can get quite costly with entrance fees and drinks that can be $9 each(normal price at some clubs in Madrid).

There are loads of agencies over here in the UK, have you got a work permit? it all depends on your qualifications on what you can do but bar work would be good with your accent! there are bars here such as Walkabout (a chain of pubs throughout the uk) which only really hire australians. well either that or they're all just pretending lol.
London will be your best bet for jobs unless of course you speak italian or dutch.
I am only speaking from an english persons point of view though not an experienced traveller as my travelling doesnt start till march :D
I have been to amsterdam though and it is soooo cool you'll love it. especially if you smoke weed. you'll never want to leave.

good luck. let us now how it goes.
