Hi,

My name is Neil, I'm new here, this is my first post! Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has used workaway before, and if so what results they have had.

I'm leaving for Europe in a month, and I would love to finance my travels as I go. Workaway sounds like an ideal solution, but I want to talk to someone who's used it before I spend 15 Euros to access their database of hosts looking for workers.

Check it out at http://www.workaway.info/

Let me know what you think...thanks!

Neil

I checked out their site... it looked pretty cool but i am under the impression that it should be the other way around... the people offering a place to work/stay should pay the fee... not the traveler

LOL...I'm not arguing with that, I"d rather not pay anything...still, if it is legit and if other people have found it useful, then I might consider paying to access the database anyway.

Let me know if anyone has actually used the service, and what positive/negative experiences they have had with it. Thanks!

Neil

GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found this amazing oppurtunity on that website!!!!!!! I want to do it badly but I am trying to convince myself not to.........!!!!!!!!! GGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a listing on there looking for a camp councilor for a Program in Tibet that teaches Kids from different countries around the world about PEACE! Its a few month program...and it mostly includes trekking around Tibet living a simple rural life while learning and helping kids learn about Peace and establishing multi-cultural unity.........THIS WOULD BE SO AWESOME........talk about a stress free environment!!!!!

Quote:
Family/ Organization: Zhai ew
* Country: Tibet*
* Languages spoken: Chinese English
* Area: Tibetan region of SW China
* Work on offer:* We want a long term volunteer to help on a summer camp from early spring of 2004. We need help in Bejing and Tibet. The aim of the project is to promote different peoples and lands throughout the world.Must love trekking , be healthy and enjoy simple rural life.

* Accommodation: Not stated

However, I theoretically shouldnt do this because of my real estate career......I should give it another year and a half or so and get some passive income established from investment property and then go live a nomadic lifestyle for a few years.....

GOD DAMNIT!!!!!!! Why cant I be souless.....descisions would be so much easier.........
