Default French Language Study Abroad, any recommendations?

I'm getting ready to graduate in May (Hooray!). And, I've decided 100% that I'm not ready to go to grad school right away, however I'd like to keep my options open and continue learning until I decide to apply. I've just started my third level of french, a language that I'm beyond miserable at. I think the only way I'll ever really catch on is to completely immerse myself in the language for a few weeks or months, who knows?!

I've seen some things online about studying French abroad and also working/studying abroad and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions? I'm open to pretty much any French speaking country in Europe and just really wanted to know if anyone has done this, enjoyed it, can recommend a program. Also any advice on cost and paying for the whole thing is welcome.

Félicitations !

In Quebec City, we receive loads of students for french immersion during the summer at Université Laval. I know it's not in Europe, but it may be an affordable option to consider, if Europe's courses are too expensive.

I did some googling. Learning French in France sure does cost a lot more (between 2 and 4 times as much!) than Spanish in Spain.

It looks like the price will be at least 300 euros per week (Brussels). Quebec may end up being a good option

You might be able to learn in Africa if you're on a budget...maybe Morocco?

Great topic!

I've done a bit of research on this myself as I also want to do some kind of french immersion course at some point.

If cost is your issue I definately think you should try somewhere out of france, quebec looks like a great option and I'm keeping a link to that university on my comp!

I would say try and go somewhere like Quebec or somewhere in Africa, unless of course you really want to do it in France, then I would say try somewhere that isn't in Paris as it is more likely to be a bit cheaper.
