Default Martial art schools in china/Thailand

Hi, i was just wondering if anyone here has stayed at or around the shaolin monastery and trained with the monks? or If anyone has stayed//trained at a muay thai camp in thailand and what your experience was like.

I have never traveled outside the U.S. but i really want to do something like this

Any suggestions appreciated
thanks

I haven't but I noticed in mermaidnz's sig she's planning on muay thai camp in Thailand later this year, I'd guess she's done plenty of research

went to pro-wrestling school in east alabama for a bit. (no kidding)

went home with concussions a bunch and learned a lot rounded out my martial arts skills a lot. for certain skills you have to have certain ground work. got tossed around and got a lot more comfortable with falling.

completely ruined how i learned how to fall in karate. I can still fall without getting hurt. it just looks like it should hurt now, but i can fall in lot more directions effectively which is really cool .

good luck with that. the us sport karate foundation has an exchange program my college had that and a few guys when over. and there is a wushu school (a traditional chinese art) that has an exchange program you may be able to look into
