I was wondering about all those hostels websites in Australia that say they can help you find a job or they will find you a job and I was just wondering if they actually do help you or is it just a load of crap.

I'm in Oz now and I have seen a bunch too. My general finding is to go get the Saturday Post and they have job listings in there in most cities. Get your resume ready before you go and try to keep it to a page. Also, the best work you'll find is in hospitality and sign up with some recuriting compnaies, they are free and help.
BIG NOTE! Make sure when you are finding work that you have set up a tax id number, if not they can screw you on taxes
