Do I need a c.v for when I go for jobs in oz? They will be just bar jobs and fruit picking etc....But will they need all my past jobs info? :lol1:

Beady,
I'd imagine that if you're not an OZ citizen, or a working visa, then you may not need a CV (Curriculum Vitae/Resume). Bar jobs, or even hostel jobs that pay "under the table," will most likely be conducive on your outgoing personality and your ability to mix drinks. I wouldn't worry about it, but that's just my opinion :greenguy: |
Ok then, I probably won't do one then. Thank you! :kisscheek:

Hi Beady, I think you would be silly NOT to have a CV/Resume. Even if you create one, save it in your online email (yahoo/hotmail) and print one off when you need it. That way you wont have to physically carry one.
Ive lived in Australia all my life and have had a few casual and cash jobs while studying and they have always asked to see one. I usually got jobs by just going into places and asking if they had any work going and the first thing they would say is 'do you have a resume?' Even for the unskilled jobs they ask, will have a quick look at it and then really only use it for your contact details. |
Theres a lot of fruitpicking/bean picking what ever down these parts that they offer to travellers, even locals if you like that kinda thing. Im sure they are always looking for more workers...
I wouldnt mind picking grapes when i was in france. Aparently they dont pay much, but you get to drink as much as you like. Sounds like a plan. Leeroy |
Ahh ok, I'll do one and save it on my email, just in case. thanx for helping!
