Has anyone been to Buenos Aires? If so, what are the highlights of the city? Any recommend sites to see or things to do? I'm also interested to see if anyone has cruised over to Montevideo, Uruguay from Buenos Aires. I'm interested in heading down that way in the next month or two. Any insight would definitely be appreciated! Thanks!

i have been to Buenos, and there is tons of stuff to do. be sure to check out the concert hall which is world famous. as well as La Boca which is a colourful working class neighborhood (just dont go ant night). there are many trendy and expensive neighborhoods to see and beuitful girls as well. you should also take in a tango show which is great. there is so much to do you will have no problem. have fun.

So, JT, how much of S.A. did you get to when you were on your recent trip down there?

I'd love to read an After Action Report...! I've only been to Rio as far as S. America goes...

I started my trip in Lima, Peru, and saw the southern half of Peru inculding Cuzco (Machu Picchu). i then toured Lake Titicaca from both the Peruvian and Bolivian sides. i saw most parts of Bolivia, as well as the Salar de Uyuni, which is the most beutiful landscape i have ever seen. it was once a great big salt lake, but has since dried up to create miles and miles of salt on the ground. breathtaking. i then toured almost all the mjor cities in Argentina, which was awsome. the whole culture there is fantastic. staying up late, and partying everynight was fun and a little expnsive, but worth it. from there i quickly made my way back to Lima, because i was out of money. but if i had it my way i would still be there. anyway that is my trip in brief. if you are thinking about going i suggest you do. its worth it. just dont believe what you hear (the bad parts anyway) most peope have no idea what its like. its filled with friendly people and lots to do (for cheap).
