anyone know if malaria is a prob in ecuador - I really don't want to have to take doxy again...I spent three months in Asia, with a doxy a day to keep the mosquitos away, and ended up fearing sleep becuase of the craziest dreams!!
BTW - I'll be WWOOFing in ecuador and possibly north Peru this year from early Oct- mid Dec. If y'all want to meet-up, drop me a line.
PEACE,
Andy

Good luck! I don't expect Malaria would be a problem there, what with the altitude and all. However, check out a guidebook from your library...there should be a section on health and diseases...

Or you can check the CDC website, they have all sorts of info, particularly about the immunizations you should get.
