I went to hostel inn which is simply G-R-E-A-T , I paid 10 bucks per night for a double room and the place was incredible ...we had free internet, free delicious breakfast, Spanish and Tango lessons (free too )and more. Their site is www.hostel-inn.com . Had a cool time there .

Good lead! Hostels that provide all kinds of extras most definitely add depth to your all around travel adventures.
Great post!

I had a great experience with Buenos Aires Stay (I got the recommendation from a NY Times online article). They're British owned, and they rent out these apartments for cheap.
good stuff!

Thanks! I'll be there in March! What part of town was it in? Walking distance to some good stuff?

Just found out my buddy quit his job at a law firm and is moving to BA for 6 months starting in January...I should probably make time to go visit him.

I stayed right in Palermo Soho for $350 a week. That's at a small studio with everything in walking distance. Subway was really close, which is a huge plus.
It's good to be next to the parks and subway lines. The subways are so cheap and efficient. Can't go wrong with the taxis, either, as long as you know where they are going.

the post was from early 2003, so likely they've increased prices since then
