Hi,
So I'm arriving in Paris on June 8th and I have a 4 month work permit for Ireland not valid until August 19th. For the time in between, I have planned trip for Mediterranean and Eastern Europe. I would really appreciate advice on my itinerary. Am I spending too little time in a single place or too long or should i skip a place etc.
Here it is.
June:
8th- Paris- 5 nights
13th- Staying on a farm near Nice and working for room and board- 7 nights
20th- Florence- 2 nights
22nd- Staying with buddy in nearby countryside- 3 nights
25th- night boat from Ancona to Patras- 1 night
26th- Athens and trips on the Peleponese (Epidavros etc)- 4 nights
30th- Ios- 3 nights
July
3rd- Santorini- 3 nights
6th- Crete- 3 nights
9th- Rhodes working for room and board on a farm- 7 nights
16th- Samos- 2 nights
18th- Kusadasi/Ephesus/Selcuk- 2 nights
20th- Pammukkale/ Denizli area- 1 night
21st- Night train to Istanbul- 1 night
22nd- Istanbul- 3 nights
25th- Night train- 1 night
26th- Sofia- 1 night
27th- Belgrade- 1 night
28th- Kotor- 1 night
29th- Dubrovnik- 3 nights
August
1st- Korcula/Hvar-1 night
2nd- Split- 3 nights
5th- Ljubljana- 2 nights
7th- Beld area- 2 nights
9th- Vienna- 3 nights
12th- Cesky Krumlov- 1 night
13th- Prague- 5 nights
18th- Bratislava (backtracking there because it has lowcost flights directly to Dublin)- 1 night
19th- Arrive in Dublin and start my work permit.
I have the flexibility to arrive in Dublin later than the 19th but I don't know if I have the money to.
So I guess my biggest question is: Is this realistic?

Well, the number of nights seems fine... but I'd be careful on being too sure about just arriving in a random place and expecting to be able to work for lodging... do you know if someone pulled this off in that city? or have you read/heard people do this there? Just make sure, cause you could end up having to pay por all those 7 days... or wose... have to sleep in the park for 7 days...
Anyways.. that's my 2 cents

Oh sorry I know that sounds weird and I should clear that up. I have pre-arranged those farm work things in Nice and Rhodes through WWOOF. Thank you very much for the feedback.

That sounds like a pretty cool itinerary. I like that you've varied it up a bit, spending longer in some places than others. Gives you a chance to get into a different rhythm.
Do you know where you'll stay on the Peloponese? (I haven't been able to spell that since high school history class, I'm not going to start now). Anyway, we spent four days in Nafplio, once Greece's capital. The old city is beautiful in its own right, and has good bus links to sites all over the island (we only looked around Nafplio itself - the Palamidi Fortress is stunning - and Epidavros, due to half the family being laid up in bed with assorted illnesses), Corinth/Arcocorinth, Argos, Epidavros and a bunch of others that have slipped my mind at the moment. Anyway, if you haven't picked a base yet, I'd recommend Nafplio. Don't know what the hostel situation is like there - we stayed at the Pension Marianna, which was smashing, but maybe a higher budget than you're hoping for. But they might have cheaper singles, we are six, so we had a larger suite.

Hey thanks for the suggestion. I just started looking for information on Nafplio after your post and I think I might take your advice.
Thanks a lot
