Please help with my travel plans.
My girlfriend and I are doing a 12 day trip to italy. She has made up an insane travel plan. Please give me some advice to end all arguments
Day 1 Rome
2 Rome
3 cinque terra
4 cinque terra
5 florence
6 Bologna
7 Grand Paradise nat'l park
8 Grand paradise nat'l park
9 drive to naples and stay
10 pompei
11 Rome
12 fly home

This really makes no sense to me. Please let me know what you think.

Well, I'm not the world's greatest at figuring out itineraries, but have you considered travel time? I don't know anything about Grand Paradise Nat'l Park, but Pompeii and Naples is kind of out of the way for a 12 day trip. It's great to see you've included Cinque Terre, I love it there. But I also love Florence and it would be difficult to spend just one day there. Maybe scrap Bologna, or Naples/Pompeii and save them for another time? Just some random thoughts, I'm sure somebody will have more insight. Good luck!

with 12 days, my advice is pick 2 places, 3 at the most within close proximity of each other. with that short a time you don't want to waste a lot of time on trains. I'd recommend spending 4-5 days in Rome alone.
