Default Christmas in England, New Year's in Holland

So after two friends backing out of this trip last minute, I've finally booked my next trip abroad.

I will be leaving Boston the 22nd of December and meeting up with my parents and sister in London.

We will be spending Christmas at the sister's new place in Southfields and then to Surrey on Boxing Day for the requisite family visits/drinkfest.

I then catch a bmi flight out of Heathrow on the morning of the 27th to Amsterdam where I'm staying at Hotel Di-Ann for two nights before taking the train south to Utrecht where I'll be spending NYE.

I booked a bed at the B&B Utrecht City Centre but am going to try and find some better accomadation if I can.

I leave Utrecht on the 2nd of January and will spend one more night in Amsterdam at the Flying Pig Uptown

From there, I have a long weekend back in the UK before returning back to work on the morning of the 7th

This should be a pretty interesting trip as that Labour MP I met in Boston (see earlier post) emailed me this week agreed to meetup for a pint and some political discourse. Should be some stories to come out of that....

So now the part that sucks: the waiting and not spending money for the next two months.

If anyone will be around those areas during that time, particularly southwest London, and wants a meetup PM me.

I hope you're not expecting a white christmas over here!!

Sounds like you're going to have a great time, Surrey is such a lovely part of the country. I won't be around during that time, I'll be spending Christmas just north of London with the family, then I'll be going back up to Birmingham for my new term at uni Have fun!
