Default Itinerary issues...

OK friends- I have yet another dumb question, and I hate to ask questions that are silly but I really respect you guys' advice, and its already helped me allot. So thanks for humoring me...

As I posted once before, I was planning on a 6 day Highlands trip in Scotland for part of my big trip coming up, but I got a email saying that that they’re not having those in January. Only the 3 day tours. So that now frees me up some.. What Im interested in from you guys in inputs on where I could go during this extra time. Money isnt a HUGE issue however, I want to pay for most upfront ..(I dont trust my saving ability and I want to be able to stay gone a long time)... Would you guys mind looking at my schedule and let me know what you would suggest. OH, and keep in mind of all places in the world ive been , Ive been to the UK the most... and I kinda want to get out of that area because of the exchange rate...ok Im being long winded...

Heres my schedule:

Jan 7th: Land at Heathrow London (mid morning)
Jan 8th-11th FREE DAYS

Jan 12th Edinburgh by 0700 for the trip
Jan 12th-14th Highlands tour
Jan 14th-15th Edinburgh
Jan 16th Edinburgh-Paris (flying on easy Jet)
Jan 17th-20th Paris
Jan 21- Paris to Rome (EasyJet)
Jan 21th-23rd ROME
Jan 24th Rome- London (easy jet)
Jan 24th-30th London (or possible free days ive seen lots of London)
jan 30th Flight out of Europe from London

Any ideas folks? Switzerland/Norway maybe? or is that too expensive? Ditch the flight from Rome to London and go somewhere then?

Your help , as always , is greatly appreciated!

hey bro! i would stay in Italy longer! Extra days in Rome, or get to another city in Italy while you're there.

You could always meander into Wales, check out the English countryside before heading north, or catch a quick Ryanair flight over to Ireland...

In the Winter you have a good shot of Venice being foggy which is also cool. I was there in February and had decent weather (plus I accidentally stumbled into Carnival )

Check out Feb 2006 in my blog linked below for more info. Yeah as much as London rocks as a city, I would spend my time in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Albania Greece etc...

Yeah man, you could easily spend a week in Rome alone. Venice would be cool as well as Napoli. Venice being the most expensive, would cause me to jump to Napoli for a few days and see Pompeii. But you should consider your time in Rome. You won't run out of things to do.
