What's your addiction?
Inspired by Canadian Bacon's thread.
Obviously we are all addicted to travel, so I didn't include that on the list, but what other vices do you have?
I have realised that I am totally addicted to food. I am always hungry, and often fantasive about what I am going to eat. I eat very slowly, savouring every taste. And I also eat a lot. I feel kind of self-concious about this. I always have seconds for dinner. The family I live with have gotten used to this but they are amazed at how much I can eat.
Especially because I don't put weight on from it. My absolutely non-scientifically based but impressive sounding explanation is that I have an extremely fast metabolism. Which is not as handy as it sounds! I never feel "full". And I think when I am no longer a teenager (only 2 more months!) I am just going to balloon up.

Books. Don't get me within a hundred feet of a book store. My wallet shrieks in protest. I do not count that as "shopping" because I'm addicted to the books I already have as well.

I've got the same problem with buying books. Also t-shirts and DVDs. I've given it all up to save for my trip though.
So I guess I'm currently addiction free. I'm sure I'll pick up some new ones in Europe though. :D

I picked the last one because I would have to say:
Alcohol, Sex, and a different drug

I just realised, I probably should have asked what is your VICE. That has much less negative connotations! I hope no-one is seriously addicted to anything...
Lots of people like collecting books. I think I am too much of a cheapskate to collect anything. Or a 'minimalist'. Even with clothes. I bought pretty much all my clothes with me to europe and I'm going to leave alot of it here. So when I get back to Australia I'll oinly have scungy backpackers stuff left.

I once had a book addiction and then my sister forced me to join my local library. She and her husband are both librarians.
I just cleaned out my private libarary from 6,000 books to a mere 500 books. I donated them to the library.

I put food because, well yeah. Can't help it when you're raised by Italians! Every time we'd go on a car trip with my grandparents, the first thing they would say is, "so where are we going to lunch?" My grandfather's reasoning: "You gotta eat!!"
I almost put shopping because I have way too many clothes, but it's not because I shop all that particularly much. I'm a hoarder. And when I was younger (not too much littler, I guess), bigger clothes were in, so I have stuff literally from 5th grade (oh, that's sad) that I just can't chuck. And I'm a ridiculous dresser, so I'll pull out something that was never really cool, and I got from the Gap for 50 cents when they were sick of looking at it in the late 90's and decide all of a sudden that it's my old new favorite shirt. Then when I'm sick of it, back into the drawer! And it's not like I'm an awesome hipster fashionista. I dress like a doofus. F'real. I wish I could bring myself to backspace over all of that, but you asked for vice, right? And being an insane packrat baglady doofus, I guess, is my vice.

Ahahahaha that was an awesome paragraph, it made me smile. Cheers for not backspacing. And I think it would be great to still have stuff from fifth grade. But I always chuck things out and then later regret it. And find that I have so few clothes that I could actually fit all of it into two backpacks when I moved to europe. And still not even wear lots of it. I have one pair of jeans I really like, and they now have a hole on the upper inside thigh which is the most awkard place ever, but I just sewed it up and will wear them till they fall apart which won't be very long after I begin backpacking! I think I will love having an excuse to wear only my favourite clothes, and for days on end. Haha I am so dirty and uncultured. Oh, and being an insane pyschotic rambling doofus must be my other vice...

I still have two or three shirts that I was wearing in my 7th grade class pictures. I was like maybe 12 or so. Repping the DK shirts in the class pictures back then that still hangs (or kinda droops is more like it) in my closet and sure its filled with holes and has weird stains on it, but I love the thing and wear it like once a week or so.
