I stayed at the Banana Beach Bungalow Hostel in San Diego. I read people commenting that it wasnt the cleanest place ever but I didnt have a problem. Granted there is sand all over the place but thats only because its right on the BEACH!!!!!!!
it was probably the coolest most chill hostel i've ever been at in the world. the deck/patio faces right out to the water and there is basically a cookout/party everyday.
the weather was just kinda blah in san diego when i was there which is pretty surprising but i still had a good time. the people and staff where cool and i would highly recomend it.
the only downside is, that the san diego bus system is total crap. it takes like an hour to get anywhere. i got a taxi to the airport and it took like 10 minutes, if i had taken the bus it would have been like 45 minutes to an hour.
