Hello everyone,
My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to New York in February this year but after booking the plane tickets realized that since we are both 20 booking a hotel room will be a challenge. This wouldn't really faze me since for hostels you only need to be 18 but my girlfriend on the other hand doesn't like the idea of a hostel and prefers to travel in luxury. So if we can't convince a hotel to let us stay I was wondering if anyone has some recommendations for possible hostel candidates. We would need a private room for two, preferably near the theatre district. It would have to be very clean and price isn't a huge issue since we were budgeting for a hotel. Essentially the more hotel-ish the better since it will be almost impossible to get my girlfriend into a hostel on the best of days.

I am going there for Christmas. I'll let you know (we are definitely doing a hotel...since I am traveling with the gf and her brother and sister)

I never had a problem staying in hotels when I was under 21, all you need is a credit card...

We finally got it worked out today, my girlfriend and I can stay in the hotel she wanted to stay in but we need to fax them permission slips from our parents first. I guess I'm going on a field tripp to New York

Permission slips? Aren't you both 18 or over? What kind of crock is that?
