Wow, I've been wanting to get a tattoo also. I've been leaning toward a viking symbol of some sort. I made my own serpant one which I think is quite good. But I've also been looking at some walkknots lately. I like how they are connected and have a specific geometry about them.
But that's just me, who knows maybe I'll get a flaming skul on my ass with 'kiss me' across it's forhead.

...probably not though

Oh and looking at it again, my tattoo is actually a great deal darker than what you are seeing in the picture, the flash from my camera definitly brightened it up.

What's the dot on Louisiana? Your dots are fairly large but it looks like your trying to pin point Grand Isle? Grand Isle is awsome, is this a trip you have allready taken or one you are going to do?

Hey,
I think a frog or a camels face would be quite a cool thing to get tattooed(is that spelt right?) what i'm on this message board thing to do is to try and find a person who will travel with me, or something, have you any suggestions how i would go about doing that? you see, i'm just about to graduate from uni and can't be arsed getting a job, so i figure the only other option is to run away from responsability and go traveling

if you think you can suggest anything, e-mail me on chilledout86@hotmail.com

ps- i've got a few tattoo's and it is quite a cool experience getting one, i'm gonna get another as soon as i can afford it.

Is anyone actually on this thing now then?

Yeah, if it's the pain your after when getting a tatto a good substitute until you actually go and get one is to wax your body hair, or get something called an epilator, which is this really odd contraption that rips your hairs out, it's really painful but hilariously funny to have done to you by someone else, i often let my friends wax and epilate me.

I can't think of anything that means so much to me that I'd have it tattooed on me. Maybe if I went into some jungle and found a tribe that made you take some test to prove your manhood like, chatch a puma or steel a monkey baby or something suitably hard to do, then they'd tatto the tribal "mummy wow, I'm a big boy now" tatto across me face. That would mean something then and would have a storie behind it.

Other than that maybe a doner card. It would be useful.

Okay, that sounded it rude - it was supposed to. Just meant that we have a thread just for people looking for traveling companions here.

Also, here's a site for firt time travelers, and this is for general tips and advice. There's a bunch more if you go looking through. Just thought that was a good start.

I have two tattoos...one of them I did design myself and I still love it. I actually like both and have had them for 6 and 4 years.
One of them is a larkspur (a flower, which is the official flower of those born in the month of July) with a black chinese symbol for Journey going through it. I'm always on different treks of life so it felt very "me"
The other is another flower design with the word Love written on either side.
And as I said, I don't regret either one...but I don't think I will be getting anymore unless I am REALLY moved by something!
