well, hello.
I guess that introductions are in order. My name is Amanda, and my boyfriend/fiance and I are planning a round the world (ish) backpacking trip. I love this site, everyone seems so open minded, and everybody seems to embrace all travel styles. WOOT! lol. anyways, we want to see the freaken world. May 1st (god willing) we will have quit our jobs, sold our stuff, pawned our (beloved) dog off on a yet to be named family member, and hop onto a plane. So wish us luck. Hopefully we will see some of you travel punks on the path around the world. CHEERS TO TRAVEL PUNK!

well, I guess I should update this. Rusty and Mandy is now just Amanda. We broke up and now I'm planning the same trip on my own. Since he was going to finance it, Im having to put it off probably for another year while I save up the money myself. Such is life I suppose, Is there any way of changing my username by any chance?

Pretty sure a mod can change your username.
And good for you for sticking with your plans! Solo travel has it's own unique flavor and is really rewarding

Sorry to hear about that Amanda.
I'm glad to hear you're still going through with the trip.
I've PM'd you about the name change

Welcome back! Bummer about the split and the delay of travel, but such is life and you will get there before long! Best of luck, and remember, any questions, just ask!
