My name is Sarah, I am 22, and I am leaving for a solo 3 month backpakcing trip through Europe on August 29! I am sooo excited about going - I have been once before but I was travelling someone else and we stayed mostly in the bigger cities (Rome, Venice, Paris). I cant wait to do the solo travelling thing, although I worry a little about being a lone girl (only a little though - no way would that stop me!).
So I am still trying to decide where I want to go - I didnlt know I was going until about 2 weeks ago! (I got "let go" at work because of funding issues and I decided to go to Europe and spend all of my money and some of my parents' before finding another job). Any suggestions on where to go and what to see would be greatly appreciated!
Well, Europe's a big place! What countries are you planning on hitting? Where are you flying into/out of? Those will help get the suggestions rolling...

Thanks Rozza! I am flying in and out of Paris and I have a 3 month Eurail pass, so just about anywhere in western Europe is fair game. I definitely want to see more of France, Italy, and Switzerland, and maybe Germany, but I'm open to going anywhere that I can get to relativley easily.
Oh, I forgot to mention that I'm from San Diego. I moved down here after graduating from college (Harvey Mudd, near LA). Just wanted to say hey to all the other SoCal T-Punkers! (and everyone else too, of cousre )
Well, I don't know how many countries your Eurailpass is good for (most people seem to get the 4-adjacent-country pass), but my recommendation if you're going to be in that area would be SPAAAAAAIN!
I Barcelona. You can easily ride the rails from Paris to Spain, then from southern Spain on up along the Mediterranean coast, through the south of France, into Italy, then head north into Switzerland and Germany... I dunno, but if I had 3 months, that's the route I'd take.
