Hey Guys! Don't know if anyone remember me from oh so long ago. Its been a couple of months. I was all set to head to Europe. I was a month out. Had my pack ready and my passport was coming.. had my itenary and all planned.. even had the nervous jitters.. and one day your driving to lunch and hit a lady in a new Hyundai... a HYUNDAI  ... from behind. Yea, it cost me a 1000 bucks and put a damper on my plans. But I'm back and will not be stopped this time..

Damn Hyundai sounds like it had it coming, but that sucks it put a damper on the plans!! 
Good to hear you didn't loose sight of Europe!

Actually this time.. I think I'm looking more along the lines of volunteering.. Give my trip some purpose.. If anyone could point me towards some organizations or sites it would be appreciated ... And thanks Pinion! My Pontiac held up like the true tank she is.

I did have insurance... But being 18 and watching my rates jump up for the next 5 years.. I paid out of pocket.. I think it was a stupid move now that I look back on it.

Welcome back, man - and sorry to hear about your story. Actually, paying out of pocket for a $1000 fender bender was probably the right thing to do - in the long run, that's how much you'd probably pay in increased premiums every year or year-and-a-half until you turn 25!

hey buddylee! what a major bummer about the hyundai, but omisan is right-- you probably did the right thing, long-term wise.
Setbacks happen all the time: it's how you deal with them that counts, and it sounds like you aren't letting this one get you down! good for you

Way to get back on track dude. But man, you are making me miss my Hyundai (Sonota)  . I had to sell it before I came to Belize.
