afternoon
Hi, my name's Heide and am new to this board. I was introduced to this site by my daughter buzzingtalk. 
We are planning on going to india next year, but the more I read the threads on here the more I think a month won't be long enough.

Ha ha you are probably right, but a month it will have to be sadly. 
I have never been travelling, so am looking forward to it immensely, and I couldn't think of anyone better to be doing it with.
Just to say this site is excellent, full of really helpful advice.

One month in India is a good amount of time if you limit the trip to one area. Especially that this is your first travel (congrats on taking the plundge by the way!), and that India is one hundred miles away from our western culture, you will probably want to advance slowly. And anyway, transports are slow in South Asia...

not satisfied with sharing a home she is now moving in on my internets space! only yolking 
yes india next year is going to be amazing, 1 month is well not enough but people have to work and bosses have to allow limited time off  so no more time m'afraid.
will be nice to get to a new continent and of course show my mother what i get up to each summer when im off backpacking around...will start planning once im back from asia though

Then heading east to NZ & Aus for a few years! Via Abu Dhabi, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.
Time to get out of the UK for a while!!

You'll just have to log on more frequently. But yah, I was in Italy and Europr for 4 months, and then Nepal and India for 3.
Unfortunately I didn't blog too much when I was in Nepal/India, but if you need any advice I'll be glad to try and muster up some words of wisdom!
