Yipee, I have sent my deposit in for college and recieved my confirmation letter, yay!
I'll be starting at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck/Hackensack, New Jersey around the end of August...just after my California trip.
It's located about ten or twenty minutes from NYC and a few minutes from the NY border. I'll be majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in History (European/Africa/Asia/?? for now), Political Studies and International Relations. It's really not as big as it sounds. It's really only a big word for undecided but interested in a certain field. That's what I told my friend anyway. Best part is....
I get to spend a semester in England! And not only that...in a medieval castle...err..abbey. Yea I get all excited and that's not for three years (junior year) they also mentioned I can spend a week there this winter...but I don't know about forking over all that cash for a week of classes. O the English school is called Wroxton College if you guys are interested.
I felt the need to talk to someone/s about this because none of my friends have plans and well they hate it when they hear me talk for hours.
OOOO! Most important thing... Senior year I get to intern at the UN in NYC! Woot woot, making in big. I'll make sure all you guys get out of the prisons overseas...hehe j/p. I'll end up stuffing envelopes for my days there. Yippee!

good girl, blink! that's the way to do it, right out of high school, no beter way. hey, it sounds like you are already keeping your options open - but be sure to explore every aspect of your potential majors... a lot of college kids end up with degrees they never really wanted or just plain can't use... only, you sound hungry and have very honorable interests... you'll be perfect, just take care!

THe best thing I ever did Blink, was go into college as an "undecided" major. My school gave me a year to decide. I would take 2 or 3 of the classes that I had to take, and then 1 class in a possible major. I did that for 3 quarters and then made my decision, it worked great.
Good luck....geez, I didn't think I'd feel old at 23 but here it is, and I do. HAve fun, college should be the best time of your life.....I'm hoping grad school will be the best time of mine

Hey Amber, congratuations...you have so much to look forward to! That being said, I had fun in college but I agree with you Jason....I'm hoping grad school will be the best time of my life too! Here's to being a little older and (maybe?) a little wiser
Not saying that you're not wise Amber! You'll find your niche and of course, studying abroad is always amazing!!!!!
