Generally speaking, when you're booked all the way through with no overnight stops, you don't have to claim and recheck your luggage - the airlines simply mark your bags with the final destination and in the case of multiple connections, like this, you just put them on the belt and pray you'll see them again eventually.
Things usually work out fine, but pack a change of clothes and your toothbrush in your carry-on just in case! If your bags don't arrive at the same time you do, the airline will deliver them to wherever you're staying, when they arrive, so no need to worry. Just remember what your bag looks like so you can describe it to the lost luggage folks if it goes missing. But I hasten to add, this doesn't happen as often as you'd think, considering how many bags must travel the globe every day.
Even on flights when we've had to overnight in Copenhagen to make connections, we have been able to leave our bags at the airport pre-checked, so I highly doubt you'd have any baggage issues there. The only place I'd imagine you might have to pick them up is in Newark, but if you've already been screened in Toronto, and are just a transit passenger anyway, I really doubt it. Since you actually have a travel agent, you do have the ultimate resource for double checking though, so don't be afraid to call.

Wow I thought I had a lot of connections to London! ( Vancouver- Seattle, Seattle-Copenhagen, Copenhagen-London) But yours takes the cake! The funny thing is that I choose that route because I saved $180, but then after I booked it my dad was like " I would have given you $180 to fly direct!" Great thanks dad! haha
Anyways I have stayed at St. Christophers. It's probably one of the better hostels in London. I stayed at the main one (think it's called the village) and it was fine and clean. Only complaint was that there was no kitchen and there is a loud ass bar so sometimes getting to sleep is a little bit hard.
Have a great trip!

That's impossible. A foreign carrier is not allowed to transport a passenger domestically. Are you flying Air Canada or US Airways with an Air Canada codeshare?
